Dodrill Photography
Jerry Dodrill
is a full-time professional photographer living
on California’s Sonoma Coast. In 1997,
Jerry achieved degrees in both fine art and
photography, then worked under acclaimed photographer
Galen Rowell.
An avid climber
of twenty years, Jerry has traveled the world
over in search of beautiful landscapes, big
granite walls, and virgin terrain while photographing
for personal projects, and the outdoor industry.
Jerry received degrees in photography and fine
art from Pacific Union College in Napa Valley
and has won many awards with his images. His
work has been exhibited globally, in venues
such as the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite,
Mountain Light Gallery (Bishop), and Mumm Cuvée
Napa Valley Winery/Gallery. His list of publications
includes The North Face®, Outside Magazine,
Alpinist, Rock & Ice, Men’s Journal,
Sunset, Vanity Fair and others.
All of Jerry’s
prints are made on traditional Fuji Crystal
Archive Type C photographic paper, exposed with
a “LightJet” enlarger. This hybrid
traditional/digital process produces extremely
sharp and archival images. Archival framing
and matting techniques are used in presentation.
He exclusively uses Nikon camera equipment,
and Fuji Film.
