“At 60 plus, I should know what
my life’s about but I’m
not always sure.
Most of those years have been spent
hiking Sonoma County’s coastal
ridges with brush-filled canyons that
spill seaward, walking shadowed paths
between redwood trees, and biking narrow
roads where orchards, vineyards and
old barns intersect.
I appreciate landscape as diverse as
the stark sandstone of Utah and the
subtle tones of hills wet with fog,
as well as the human form in movement
and rest portrayed in light and dark,
immersed in the mysteries of existence.
Of one thing I am sure: after years
of work, I believe the effort worthy.”
